The terrible upgrade pricing

I dont really understand the punishment of this forced upgrade.

I only have one site on here but when i built it i had no intentions of having to come back and remove properties from the modules to keep the costs down. I only get 25 properties total so the work involved to do get the properties down is my time (which i don’t have) or double the costs.
I wouldn’t mind if the costs increased slightly when upgrading but if i have to upgrade as this suggests:
After the upgrade, the website will be assigned the PRO Content plan and MAX Ecommerce plan , along with all extensions .
The pro plan is (im a non partner in Australia) you are looking at $120+ a month for a simple website???
That is absolutely crazy prices. Can someone please tell me if this is correct?

If so i might have to say goodbye to Webinone as i cant give my client a bill for double what they are paying and if im going to put the work in to reduce costs I may as well rebuild on another platform and just make it static.

I have no idea what plan you need for your site to work, but the text:
“After the upgrade, the website will be assigned the PRO Content plan and MAX Ecommerce plan, along with all extensions.”

is, as far as I know, just a standard message. When you start the upgrade, it automatically assigns the full package, and then you can adjust it to fit your needs before proceeding. So try starting the upgrade and see what you actually need for the site to work as it should. If you don’t need features from the PRO Plan or E-Commerce, you won’t be forced to keep them. :+1:

Yeh I was a little confused on how it all is priced as to me it sounded like it was calculating properties in my custom modules was going to double the costs. I did laugh on the menu configurator is an extra $5 US mth some silly pricing for minimal extras that should come standard with the platform. Anyway thanks for you help @Peter-Schmidt

Thanks for sharing your concerns – we hear you.

Just to clarify: the upgrade flow shows the highest plan by default, but you’re not locked into it. You can remove any unused features before confirming the upgrade, and the pricing will adjust accordingly.

We understand the concern about costs. For years, the platform was significantly underpriced compared to what it offered. The new model brings things more in line with market standards – while still giving you flexibility to scale up or down depending on your needs.

If you’d like help reviewing your site to keep the plan lean, feel free to submit a support ticket
