Sorry to keep posting issues I’m running into! I wish I could offer more help than bugs. I have a client who reached out because she is unable to access the admin from her work computer. I tried on several different networks on my Mac and iPhone and could not recreate the issue. However, I tried my home office PC and it works great in Chrome and Firefox, but I also can’t access the admin in Internet Explorer 10 or 11. Is anyone else having the same issue? My company logo pops up, but then it just sits there and the load bar animation keeps moving, but the login screen never appears. Anyone else run into this and/or find a way to solve the issue (other than using a different browser)?
Considering IE10 is EOL Jan 2020, and IE11 is barely updated, its safe to say that this browser is not compatible with Treepl or most of the modern web.
I can confirm that it will not working in IE11 on my machine.
I could not find a compatibility list for Treepl itself, however I know Vlad has mentioned in slack in the past that the templates are compatible from Edge+. Its a safe bet the admin console would be the same.
Hey Ryan
Well IE has always been a pain in my mind. In the past we’ve had clients with all kinds of IE bugs in BC as well, and I always tell them to use another browser since it is hard to do anything about it.
Since Microsoft themselves are telling people to stop using IE, this has been relatively easy to explain to clients
Thank you both for your responses and the info here. I sort of assumed that was the case, which is why I didn’t issue a support ticket and posted here instead. I just wanted to double check to make sure I wasn’t the only one having this ‘issue’ with IE and/or to see if there was a workaround for my client who prefers IE. I understand that it is NOT a modern browser, nor a supported browser. Unfortunately you run into companies that require older software like IE to run web-based applications that cost a fortune to rebuild for another browser, so I had to check to see if there was a workaround. Both my client and myself have no problem understanding that you can’t ask for a modern CMS in a discontinued browser. I just thought for sure it would work in IE 6? LOL!
Anyway, thank you both for confirming it’s not just an issue on my end or my client’s end.
